The surface of steel is usually coated with zinc, which can prevent the steel from rusting to a certain extent. Steel galvanized layer is generally constructed by hot dip galvanizing or electric galvanizing, then what are the differences between hot dip galvanizing and electric galvanizing?
First : what is the difference between hot dip galvanizing and electric galvanizing
The two principles are different. Electric galvanizing is attached to the surface of steel by electrochemical method, and hot galvanizing is attached to the surface of steel by soaking the steel in zinc liquid.
There are differences in the appearance of the two, if the steel is used in the way of electric galvanizing, its surface is smooth. If the steel is hot dip galvanizing method, its surface is rough. The coating of electric galvanizing is mostly 5 to 30μm, and the coating of hot galvanizing is mostly 30 to 60μm.
The range of application is different, hot dip galvanizing is used in outdoor steel such as highway fences, and electric galvanizing is used in indoor steel such as panels.
Second : how to prevent rust of steel
1. In addition to rust prevention treatment of steel by electroplating and hot plating, we also brush rust prevention oil on the surface of steel to achieve good rust prevention effect. Before brushing anti-rust oil, we need to clean up the rust on the steel surface, and then evenly spray anti-rust oil on the steel surface. After rust-proof oil is coated, it is best to use rust-proof paper or plastic film to wrap the steel.
2, want to avoid steel rust, we also need to pay attention to the storage place of steel, for example, do not put the steel in a long time in a damp and dark space, do not directly put the steel on the ground, so as not to invade the steel moisture. Do not store acidic goods and chemical gases in the space where steel is stored. Otherwise, it is easy to corrod the product.
